An important part of Claire Lambe's art practice is working in portraiture. "The human face is a never-ending source of fascination and mystery to me," she says, and that her aim when painting a portrait is not necessarily to solve its mystery but to show it. See Lambe's portrait portfolios in the drop-down menu under Artworks on the main menu at the top of the page.
In addition to painting portraits for her own personal projects, she also paints portraits on commission. For more information about this, including sizes and costs, you can connect to the artist via the Contact page.
Lambe likes to explore what challenges new places bring to her art practice. In recent years she has spent extended periods in Costa Rica and in Berlin. Since December 2021, she divides her year between Woodstock, NY, and the coastal town of Hastings in the south of England.
