About this Portrait Project (click on any portrait to generate a slide-show)

This is a selection from a series of small portraits from a "Paint-the-Town" project I conducted as Artist-in-Residence at the Woodstock Library (Woodstock, NY) in 2015 where Patrons of the library were invited to sit for their portraits in the Art Books Room. Concurrent with this project was a 2nd portrait project of people from my hometown in Ireland - in that case,  people interested in participating were asked to send me photographs from which I could work. Both projects were exhibited together  in Ireland and in Woodstock under the title "Home Towns".  Since then, additional portraits were added to the series.
